Berkeley Web Builder is the next-generation version of the Open Berkeley web publishing platform. Berkeley Web Builder will offer all of the same benefits as Open Berkeley as well as improved and expanded features and updated Berkeley Brand design.
The Berkeley Web Builder platform
Like Open Berkeley, Berkeley Web Builder is a turnkey web platform solution for UC Berkeley campus websites, and is built using Drupal and managed by the Web Platform Services team in Berkeley IT.
Campus employees with no prior web experience will be able to use Berkeley Web Builder's toolset to easily build websites, and our customers will be able to rely on our team's service to provide critical solutions to ongoing security, accessibility, and maintenance issues.
Berkeley Web Builder will require no prior web or technical experience to build a site. The Web Platform Services team will continue to handle all security updates, accessibility considerations, and maintenance/support.
We've also partnered with the Office of Communications & Public Affairs to incorporate the updated Berkeley Brand guidelines into a ready-to-use theme for Berkeley Web Builder sites.
