Site Manager role

The theme refers to the "look and feel" of the website: The fonts, colors, and other structural elements (i.e., the UC Berkeley wordmark, site name/banner region, main menu, and footer). There are a few theme settings available to Site Builders and Site Managers.

The Berkeley Web Builder platform has two types of categories (taxonomy):

Content tags are a generic category type that can be used with any content types in order to create connections between content and to filter generic Listings widgets. Media tags are a generic category type that can be used with any media type (images, files, videos). The FAQ, People, Publications, and News features each have dedicated category types for grouping and featuring data-specific content structures.

All of the categories can be viewed and managed from “Categories” page on the dashboard. See Figure 1, below.

The secondary and footer menus are both optional and can display one or more parent pages or external links. Add, edit, and remove the links in these menus from the "Menus" section on the dashboard.

The main menu (primary navigation) has two display options and is located under the UC Berkeley wordmark and site name and above the main content. Build your main menu by creating Basic and Custom pages and adding them to the menu as outlined below, and then manage and update the menu structure and display from the dashboard.

Build your Berkeley Web Builder site by utilizing the generic Basic page and Custom page types for the foundational architecture, and then use some of these additional features for data-specific structures and content integrations and display options.

In the "Customize" tab on Custom pages and other content types, there is a user interface with options to add, move, edit, configure, and remove page/content widgets.
