The Berkeley Web Builder platform has two types of categories (taxonomy):
- Content tags are a generic category type that can be used with any content types in order to create connections between content and to filter generic Listings widgets.
- Media tags are a generic category type that can be used with any media type (images, files, videos).
- The FAQ, People, Publications, and News features each have dedicated category types for grouping and featuring data-specific content structures.
All of the categories can be viewed and managed from “Categories” page on the dashboard. See Figure 1, below.
How to add and manage categories
Navigate to the “Categories” page on the dashboard (see Figure 1, above) to see the currently-available category types on your site. The “Categories” page will always list Content tags and Media tags, and will only list the feature-specific categories for FAQ, People, Publications, and News if those features are enabled on your site. Visit the Features page on your dashboard to find which features are available and how to request them.
Select one of the category options on the “Categories” page to see the list of category items, add new items, and edit existing ones. See Figure 2, below, for an example of a Content tags page on a Berkeley Web Builder site:
