The new Site Manager role in Berkeley Web Builder will be assigned to the user who will be the main contact for the people working on individual Berkeley Web Builder sites.
In addition to other responsibilities (see below), the Site Manager will also be the only role that will be able to modify other users’ roles in Berkeley Web Builder. This is different from Open Berkeley, where anyone with the Site Builder role has been able to modify user roles.
Up to 2 people will be able to have the Site Manager role on Berkeley Web Builder sites. The Site Manager(s) name and email will display on the built-in Berkeley Web Builder dashboard for user reference.
Site Manager primary responsibilities
- Manage users and roles on website
- Be familiar with all aspects of site building
- Serve as primary point of contact for website
- Make/approve requests for optional features
