The Berkeley Web Builder theme comes from the UC Berkeley Brand guidelines, developed and maintained by Strategic Communications.
If you have questions about the UC Berkeley Brand design elements and the Berkeley Web Builder theme, please contact the UC Berkeley Brand team at brand@berkeley.edu.
Brand theme and options
The theme refers to the "look and feel" of the website: The fonts, colors, and other structural elements (i.e., the UC Berkeley wordmark, site name/banner region, main menu, and footer). There are a few theme settings available to Site Builders and Site Managers; see Settings for more information.
When working on your pages, there are several options for incorporating ready-to-use Brand elements, including:
- Hero image and Color band on Custom pages
- Berkeley Brand widgets: Promos, Quote blocks, Photo Thumbnails, and more
- Color band optional HTML heading class on Basic pages and other features with a full WYSIWYG editing toolbar
See Figure 1, below, for an example of the Brand theme components.
