Login and access

The Berkeley Web Builder platform uses CalNet authentication (CAS) for access to individual sites and platform tools. User accounts will need to have one of the available roles (Site Manager, Site Builder, Editor, Contributor, or Member) in order to log in and access sites and platform tools. See User accounts and roles for more details about the available roles on the Berkeley Web Builder platform.

Log in to your Berkeley Web Builder site

If you have an editing role on your Berkeley Web Builder site, log in via the CAS link at a test site link or a live site link:

https://[test-yoursite].pantheon.berkeley.edu/cas
https://[yoursite].berkeley.edu/cas

The above URL patterns are examples and will be different for your individual site.

Sidebar menu and login confirmation

After logging in, Site Builders will see a vertical sidebar menu with the site and platform options as well as a login confirmation message (see Figure 1, below). Editors, Contributors, and Members will see a reduced sidebar menu according to the role's permissions.

If you log in to your Berkeley Web Builder site via CAS and do not see a sidebar menu, contact your Site Manager to request that an editing role be assigned to your user account. If you do not know the name of your Site Manager, contact Web Platform Services at web-platform@berkeley.edu.
