User admin menu and dashboard

On this page:

A sidebar admin menu and a dashboard is available to Berkeley Web Builder user accounts when logged in to their site with a user role. The sidebar menu will remain available as you move through all sections and pages on your site, and can be minimized as needed. The dashboard contains various sections for completing tasks on your site, such as adding and managing content, using categories, managing menus, accessing site settings, and more. The dashboard also includes an option to review user accounts and for Site Managers to modify user roles.

Sidebar menu

The vertical sidebar menu provides in-page navigation and view of the available options and tools to users with the Site Manager, Site Builder, Editor, Contributor, or Member roles on a Berkeley Web Builder site. The menu has 3 areas: a top section with an option to minimize the sidebar, a middle section with various site tasks and options, and a bottom section with user information as well as logout and help links. See Figure 1, below.

The middle section of the sidebar mirrors the structure of the user dashboard pages, which include a wide range of options (for example, adding and managing content, using categories, managing menus, accessing site settings, and more) depending on your user account's role. See the "Dashboard" section below for more information.
